Anaïs was raised in New York within a Caribbean family deeply connected to its island roots. Like many in the Caribbean diaspora, she grew up grounded in community while navigating multiple worlds — shaped by the culture of her ancestors and the city that raised her.

Travel and creativity were constant influences early in her life, eventually leading her to the Virgin Islands. When Anaïs made St. Croix her home, that story came full circle.

It was there that she began working with metal and developing the sculptural jewelry style that now defines Anaïs & Alaïa — a reflection of duality: urban and island, tradition and evolution, ancestry and becoming.

In 2017, Anaïs supported a close friend during labor, an experience that profoundly shaped her path. She later became certified as a birth and postpartum doula, dedicating years to supporting mothers and families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care.

After nearly a decade of jewelry making and years as a doula, Anaïs & Alaïa emerged at the intersection of these experiences.

The brand reflects her ethos: creating meaningful objects with intention while honoring the cycles of transformation that shape our lives.
