Amanda Huang is a Brooklyn-based designer creating bespoke jewelry using human prosthetic eyes to create one-of-a-kind wearable art. Eyes are the window to the soul! In almost every culture the symbolism of the eye is powerful; in many, it’s a symbol of psychic vision and enlightenment. For her, they’re not just jewelry but also a sort of comfort tool. They can represent a loved one, a memorial piece (a person or feeling one is trying to hold on to), a lover's eye, a child, or the guidance of a parent.The uniqueness of each piece’s meaning: a kind of charm, protection, or joy is what makes the feeling special for each person.
